The templates to the molecules can be found at the Keele University website. I chose certain elements to use with my classes: oxygen, nitrogen, water, acetone, vitamin B (Niacin), caffeine, histamine, formic acid (ant stings), antifreeze, acetic acid (vinegar).
The web page is called Make it Molecular. Temperature and VolumeTry this demonstration with a balloon in a freezer. You could use a cooler instead of the freezer. If you use a mylar balloon then you can heat it gently with a hair dryer to show it expanding. This article by Scientific American has detailed instructions for how to measure the change in the size of the balloon. Measuring and data collection are an important part of science!
